That's the end of the good part.
I contacted them a second time, and asked them what I should do about shipping the processor back, since I had already sent the motherboard out. This time, the representative looked into the transaction and changed the answer, saying that physical damage is not covered, even with an extended warrantee. They didn't even care what their other representative said. I was sent to the manufacturer and am hoping they are more willing to help.
Not done yet.
Found out today that they refunded me for my motherboard". When I asked why, they said that they no longer had that model/. The only option I had was to purchase a new one?. Fine and dandy, except shipping wasn't refunded and the motherboard I got was on sale.. Now I'm going to have to spend an extra $50 because of a defective motherboard". I work at Target, and they don't pay their employees c***, so every penny for me counts, and when I'm told that I am out an extra $50 for something that's not even my fault, that is just a douche move".
I promise that I will never willingly shop at newegg again?. I heard that their customer service was "legendary," but they don't hold true to their own word and make little attempts to help a customer replace a damaged motherboard:. My next computer will be bought off of amazon and other sites. 1287eea
