My family is in the process of getting new computers for everyone. We ordered mine first. $1416.00. Placed the order Dec 3rd. Got a confirmation email stating when delivery would be. Checked the bank and sure enough the 1416.00 was in pending. Come Monday at 2 pm in the afternoon I receive an email stating a verification issue caused by my bank canceled the order. It has been 5 days now since I placed an order from Newegg, I have not received any updates or emails to let me know about my order. It is frustrating to talk to an individual on the phone that uses passive aggressive tone and really is not helpful at all. I called and email Newegg and the company that suppose to be filling the order "DAZONE". I believe that Newegg should keep track of the companies that provide crappy service and release them... I have ordered things several years ago from Newegg and disliked their shipping policies but the latest orders made me decide to not only never use them again but to also tell others of my experience. I placed an order for 4gb ram on 11/19 and on 11/23 it appears that it hasn't even shipped yet. It has been in Packaging since 11/21. How much packaging does this small item need that it takes over 2 days? With the holiday coming up that means that shipping probably won't happen until 11/28. Received a defective computer. I am still attempting to return it. The company screwed up and failed to create an invoice for the shipment. As a result, I can neither return the defective PC nor receive a replacement. I have been on the phone with customer service at least 10 times. I ordered a Mac Pro from them which was listed as "Cosmetic B- grade with moderate scratching/wear on the exterior chassis" and no mention of the case being bent. When it arrived I opened the box and it had clearly been under packed, one wrap bubble wrap (the packing order that came with it even specified 2 layers minimum) and a few sheets of packing paper but able to slide all around the inside of the box. Only problem, is that they put this up AFTER 5,000 people ordered the item, and didn't get it, period. The percentage of sale items now being sold by 3rd party re-sellers, is rapidly approaching 50%. That's a problem, because Newegg.com made a name for themselves with good prices and fast delivery. Now, it comes from China, and it might make it in a week, or it might not. I have been a long time consumer of Newegg off on on for years, and have recently cheered them on the fight against Patent trolls. But recently I ordered a Lenovo trackpoint bluetooth keyboard. It was delivered (by NewEgg) in a box that should never have been used for shipping; the box was not sealed by tape or anything. Same thing happened to me, i called about an hour after i placed the order once i realized it was going to be sent to the wrong adress, called new egg they said i had to wait till it was in transit, then i called fed ex, they said i had have new egg call them and they can change the adress, and now that its in transit i call new egg back and they tell me they cant do anything for 1-2 days. Purchased a refurbished computer on August 17, 2016 for $195. At startup it said battery low. Now it will not boot up at all. Geek tech tried a new battery, did not work. He said the motherboard was bad and it would be about $150 - $200 to repair. Newegg will not take it back as it is pass the 30 day policy. What a company.
