Tuesday august 27, 2018 I received a package via UPS requiring a signature, I refused the package but took a pic of the shipping label. The package was labeled as from Limited goods LLC, which led to My Goods .com.1-80*-516-****.

phone answer machine said to leave a message. no response. so I called my credit card company and requested the last 2 weeks of purchases. my inquiry found a charge false on my credit card dated August 23 to newegg.

for just under $800.00 but the amount was not taken off my card yet. so thinking back if I would have signed for the package I believe my card would have been charged. I canceled my card immediately. been trying to contact newegg to alert them and investigate no response.

The only conclusion I can assert is a person stole my credit card number used it to purchase a thirty four pound electronic item. Some one on the inside of newegg sent me a thirty four pound $800.00 piece of *** and charged my credit card and kept or diverted the actual item. Why would someone steal my credit card number and send me an item, or maybe newegg buys credit card numbers picks high end item that have been sitting for too long self uses me as a proxy purchase and sends it to me.

Please update! Having been victimised by credit card / debit card fraud + identity theft, this report really caught my eye.

It sounds as if the fraud was related to a 3rd-party marketplace seller? I'm surprised that Newegg customer support didn't immediately transfer you to the fraud department and investigate more thoroughly. Good for you for not accepting the UPS parcel and having the presence of mind to take a photo of the shipping label (as well as cancelling the credit card) but I don't understand how (and WHY) this took place.

Have you been able to ascertain what happened? I looked on the Newegg website and found 'My Goods' marketplace seller is still active so obviously Newegg is allowing them to conduct business - disturbing!
