I bought a TV, with a rebate. The TV took a while to get here, and when it did, I had 3 or 4 days to get the rebate out.

Unboxed the TV, plugged it in, and it worked. It was shipped in the retail box, and the UPC was damaged. I carefully dissected it off and placed it on the rebate form. The next morning, the TV died while watching it.

Now I have bought $10,000 or so in Newegg products since 2010, for the home and business. So I contacted Newegg. They said they would not exchange the TV because the UPC was off the package. So I contacted the Manufacturer, and they said they would honor the warranty, but I would have to ship the TV cross country, a cost UPS estimates at $75, as I don't have a commercial shipping relationship with them.

My banker suggested that I dispute the CC charge, since I did not get working merchandise. Newegg was not reconsidering their position, so I did that.

Then Newegg blocked my account, which prevents me from claiming any rebates on the other $800 worth of stuff I just bought. After all these years, I have just learned that it is not worth the pricing or the selection of Newegg to get pinched like this.
